Steps in creating a .edu email address

We are going to create a .edu email address of Arizona State University. This email address will also give us access to a gmail inbox where we can receive and send mails.

Visit https://webapp4.asu.edu/uga_admissionsapp/ to start your application.
Fill in the required details such as First and Last name, Date of Birth, a valid gmail account and a password with at least 10 characters long and must include 3 of the 4 character types:

• Upper-case (A-Z)
• Lower case (a-z)
• Numbers (0-9)
• Special – only those listed here (!%*_-+=:./?)

The next step is to input your home address information. You have to go to https://www.fakeaddressgenerator.com/usa_address_generator for a random USA information.

Fill in the country as USA then copy and paste the Address line 1, City, State, Zip code, mobile phone number from fakeaddressgenerator into the ASU registration form. Make sure you keep all this details safe because you will need them later on

Next, select No for the Hispanic/Latino question and fill the US uniformed services section as shown in the screenshot below.

Input the SSN without dashes inside the field. The SSN can be gotten from fakeaddressgenerator that you opened. The other selections should be No, No and I have never been affiliated with Arizona State University.

Fill up the PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN WITH WHATEVER INFORMATION YOU WISH. MAKE SURE YOU CHOOSE YES FOR THE LIVING SECTION AND NO FOR THE IF THE GUARDIAN ATTENDED ASU

Click Save and Continue.

You may get a popup that the address is unknown. Click submit.

Fill the CURRENT (OR MOST RECENT) HIGH SCHOOL SECTION LIKE THIS AND CLICK DONE

Then select I have never attended a college or university. Click save and continue.

Select No — I will request my high school send my transcripts to ASU and wait until they are received to find out if I am admitted in the grades section.

Choose New York as your permanent home address and California as your guardians address.

The next thing is to choose a MAJOR. Select Undergraduate then choose by interest and search. Make sure you select August Fall 2020. Save and continue.

Review your application then tick the certification button and submit your application.

Select None of this apply to me and Pay later in the next popup page.

Then check your gmail address for a mail from ASU. Check back in 24 hours for your ASURITE user id. You will generate a user id with your details entered above. Make sure you keep all the details safe. Most importantly are the phone numbers, the SSN, the date of birth and your full name.
The next email you will receive looks like the below and it will be used to create your gmail account.

You will need to accept the terms of use and privacy policy then verify your user id by providing your Last Name, Date of Birth and SSN number.

Once this is done, you have your .edu email
